Coaches - Please remember you are required to “REGISTER” with GMBL each season to let us know you are interested in the Manager or Assistant Coach position with GMBL.

Coaches must complete both the BACKGROUNG/APS and Cal Ripken Certifications below to coach and to be on the field:

1) BACKGROUND CHECK and SAFETY CERTIFICATION:  (Required to be completed every 2 Years per Babe Ruth HQs Rules) 

NOTE - Babe Ruth uses SPORTS ENGINE /NCSI, the official Babe Ruth Safety program, to process Background Checks and administer the Abuse Prevention Systems (APS) Program.  Coaches will pay one fee ($25.50) to complete both requirements which are good for 2 Years. You can login to your SPORTS ENGINE Account to confirm Eligibility status and if you need to RENEW or not.  For brand new Coaches, please use the link below to setup an account to pursue new Background Check/ Adult Prevention using either the COACH or Volunteer Member Option to complete the Eligibility Requirements.

2) CAL RIPKEN (1 time for Life Certification via Human Kinetics): 

Babe Ruth HQs requires each coach to certify once in Cal Ripken Baseball or Softball Certification.   This certifcation is good for life.   Coaching Youth Baseball or Coaching Youth Softball costs $19.95.  Please use this link to get your Certification to be eligible to coach in GMBL.  If you coach in both Baseball and Softball, only one certification is required as a Coach (you do not need to complete both Baseball and Softball).  If you completed while coaching at another Babe Ruth league, that is sufficient as well, but you need to provide us with a copy of your certificate.   Please save a copy of your certificate to present to Commissioner of the Division you will be coaching in.
